Open Studio

After many years of going under the name of Salisbury Bookcrafts, the open studio classes I teach are now available through Hazel Bank Studio.

The classes run from two locations in Wiltshire: in Beechingstoke, near Pewsey and in Salisbury (directions are on the next page).

Those just starting out are given a solid grounding in traditional methods and structures along with instruction in the correct use of tools and materials. Others with bookbinding experience have the opportunity to learn new skills and perfect old ones. All areas of interest are catered for, whether it's in restoration, repair, cloth and leather bindings, box making, or work of a more contemporary nature. Everyone works at their own speed and on their own projects under my guidance.

Our group has been going strong since 1996 and is an eclectic mix of people from many backgrounds. The ethos of the studio is to uphold sound principles of craftsmanship and maintain good work ethics. And we have a lot of fun doing it.

If you would like to learn something new, this is the place to come. There are currently spaces available in both locations so please get in touch.
